Retornando as atividades, no dia 8 de junho, domingo, estive no AnimeBomb em Pelotas-RS.

Levei minha maquininha, mas meus planos de cobertura foram por água a baixo, então fiquem com uma resenha bem querida.

Returning to activities in the blog, last June 8th, I were at AnimeBomb in Pelotas-RS (Brazil).

So I leave to you a dear review about that convention.

A viagem até Pelotas foi bem tranquila, em torno de 3 horas e o gps do celular achou o colégio depois de algum custo ç.ç

Bom, chegamos no evento por volta das 14h, esse horário não tinha fila mais e a compra de ingresso na hora foi bastante rápida.

O evento estava sediando uma das seletivas do Yamato Cosplay World, um concurso de cosplay em duplas criado pela Yamato Comunicações & Eventos, que tem como prêmio final uma viagem para o Japão.

Mesmo sem participar da seletiva, ajudei alguns amigos que iam participar e acabamos o dia todo em função dos cosplays.

O que deixa minha resenha pobrinha, mas consegui ver boa parte do que se oferecia para os cosplayers.

Fomos ao camarim cosplay, que era uma sala de aula reservada ao cosplayers, sem espelhos, sem local pra se trocar, mas aquele espaço foi muito bom pelo fato de terem muitas cadeiras e mesas, alem de um armário no canto que não estava bem encostado na parede e o pessoal ia pra trás dele pra se trocar xD

Perto do camarim, no primeiro andar estava o palco musical, e conseguimos ouvir o show de quase todas as bandas, gostei bastante da 8bitsparty, trilhas de vídeo games e outros sendo tocados, foi bem legal.

O primeiro passo foi inscrição cosplay, decidi levar a Kougyoku para me apresentar no desfile cosplay, é o meu cosplay "volumoso" mais confortável, era uma boa pedida para não passar trabalho, mas ainda ter uma chance de ganhar o cobiçado prêmio do primeiro colocado: um PSvita.

Voltando a inscrição, bem na nossa vez o sistema que era informatizado deu problema, e a fila das inscrições começou a ficar bem grande.

Uma das coisas que não gostei foram as regras que eram bem claras dizendo que nao seriam aceitas imagens que não impressas ou aúdios em midia digital (mp3, pen drive, etc) e sim somente em CD, até aí tudo bem, mas chegou na hora, essas mídias eram aceitas, achei ruim, acabei gastando para a impressão e não havia necessidade. Aí que vinha o pior, quem havia trazido impresso tinha que entregar na hora do desfile, ou seja, além de tudo que tu podia estar segurando do teu cosplay, tinham mais as imagens. 

Tirando esses problemas, inscrição feita. Fomos nos arrumar até a hora do desfile.

Assim que fiquei pronta consegui tirar pouquinhas fotos próximas do camarim.

Hora do desfile, fui pra lá um tantinho atrasada e a fila já estava se formando, conversei com um staff e este conseguiu me colocar na fila.

O evento se atrasou mesmo assim, os concursos estavam programados para as 18h, mas começaram por volta das 19h. 

Fiquei pelo menos uma hora na fila do desfile, estava cansada, carregando uma espada grande, com dor no pé. Nesse ponto a organização devia ter se organizado melhor, imprevistos acontecem, mas deixar os cosplayers todo esse tempo esperando foi bem desagradável.

O que ameniza as coisas e isso foi o ponto mais positivo do evento era a simpatia da organização, não teve um único staff que não era atencioso e que não resolvesse qualquer problema que tivéssemos, se não sabiam algo buscavam uma pessoa que soubesse e estavam lá de prontidão pra ajudar todos os cosplayers, estrelinha para o evento!

O concurso foi bem organizado, (estou esperando saírem as notas ainda) e gostei que os jurados estavam em cima do palco, pra desfile é bom pois eles conseguiram ver os cosplayers mais de perto e julgar melhor.

Por fim tivemos a premiação, mas mal consegui ver os vencedores, então não vou poder incluir as colocações na resenha.

Essa foi a segunda vez que fui a um evento em Pelotas,  é um evento pequeno comparado com outros do estado, mas bem organizado. Esse ano a reclamação fica por conta das inscrições que ficaram bastante tumultuadas e a falta de espelhos no camarim cosplay, tudo isso era amenizado pela ótima educação e pro atividade da organização, todos foram bem atenciosos.

O AnimeBomb ainda tem bastante a crescer, mas estão num bom caminho, com certeza é um evento que eu gostaria de voltar a visitar.

The trip to Pelotas was pretty calm, it took around 3 hours and the gps worked after some tries

Well, we arrived at the event around 14h, there weren’t any line for the ticket purchase so we went in pretty quickly.

The event was hosting one of the selective of Yamato Cosplay World, a cosplay contest in pairs created by Yamato Communications & Events, which the great prize is a trip to Japan.

Even without participating in the selective, I helped some friends that were going to participate so we ended up doing cosplay tasks all day long, which makes my review a bit poor but made me able to see what was offered to the cosplayers.

We went to the cosplay dressing room , it was a classroom reserved for cosplayers, no mirrors, no place to get changed, but the space was good because they had lots of chairs and tables, in addition to a closet in the corner that was leaning against the wall and people would go behind it to get changed xD

Near the dressing room, on the first floor was the musical stage, and we listened to almost every band, I liked the 8bitsparty, playing OSTs and other video games music, it was pretty cool.

The first step was registration in the cosplay competition, I decided to bring Kougyoku with me to show in the parade, it’s my biggest yet most comfy cosplay so it was a good choice to try to win the first place reward: A PSvita.

Returning to registration, in our time the registration system started to bug, and the line of people began to get quite large.

One of the things I disliked was that in the rules it was very clearly written that they would only accept printed reference pictures and that sound files must be in CD format, yet they accepted pendrives and mp3 files. I wouldn’t have spent in printing my references unnecessarily. But it gets worse… who brought printed references must carry it during the presentation to handle it to the judges, we had to carry not only the cosplays but also the papers.

These problems aside I finished my registration in the contest. We got dressed up in time to the contest and I managed to take some pictures around the dressing area.

Contest time, I was late and the line was already big but I talked to a staff and he managed to find me a place in the line.

The contest got delayed anyway, competitions were scheduled for 18h, but started around 19h.

I stood at least one hour in line, tired, carrying my huge sword and my foot was killing me. The staff could be better organized at this point, unpredictable things happen but letting people stay in line all this time was very unpleasant.

What helped relief things a bit was the friendliness of the staff, there wans’t a single staff that wasn’t helpful and did not solve any problems we had. If they didn’t know the info we needed they would find someone that could help. Thumbs up for the event for this!

The competition was well organized (still waiting to see the scores) and I liked that the judges were on stage so they could see the contestants closely and better.

Finally we had the awards ceremony, but I could hardly see the winners, so I will not be able to include placements in review.

This was the second time I went to an event in Pelotas, it’s a small event compared to other states, but well organized. This year complains are due the lack of mirrors in the dressing room and the mess during registry time, but the friendliness of the staff helped soften that.

The AnimeBomb still have a lot to grow, but they are in a good way, surely it’s an event I would like to go again.
